Abbey's Birthday

Abbey's 1 and it seems so weird to think 1 year ago we were in the hospital and she was an itty bitty helpless little thing. I also can't remember what our life was like before her.

I was cooking scrambled eggs but had to put them on hold because Sophia gave her present to Abbey. I had to run and grab the camera! Sophia picked out a baby doll for Abbey and we wrapped it the night before in Christmas paper :) Sophias showing Abbey how to properly buckle the baby in the stroller.
Next we got pictures at Kiddie Kandids and they all turned out great! Individual pictures of Sophia and Abbey and then pictures of them together. Auntie M and Granny Cake went along to help and I'm soooo incredibly grateful!! I'm sure both girls would have ran off while I was choosing the photos or paying.
We ended the night with mini cheeseburgers and cake.

Go 9ers

Color!!!

Sophia doesn't seem to care about crayons or even markers that much. She scribbles and seems to get bored quickly. I let her use watercolors and she really likes them. I bought her a set of brushes because I'm a paintbrush nazi and won't let her use mine. She is really careful to clean the brushes in between colors. She's painting with Granny Cake here.
Both Abbey and Sophia LOVE otter pops and when I pulled these out of the freezer I loved the colors so I had Sophia hold them. Its not as creative of a photo as I wanted but I still love the colors.

Kathyrn Albertson Park

I decided to switch things up and go to Kathryn Albs park to see wildlife vs a park to play on playsets. We didn't see any ducks or geese or turtles etc. It was about 100 degrees so maybe they were hiding in the shade.

Harley kitty is actually sleeping. He's weird but we love him.

First Rodeo

I'm officially part time now and I was hoping to have a little more time in my day... to take showers, clean, sleep.... I finally took a shower and it's 9:30pm. I am spending more time with the girls which is awesome!

We spent the weekend with my parents and went to a rodeo. We were able to see and pet sheep, goats, bunnies and cows. We saw and smelled the pigs, bleh. I saw "mutton bustin" which is little kids riding sheep. Most of the kids fell off about 5 ft from the gate but a few held on for over half of the arena. It was the funniest and cutest thing I've seen. My Dad wants Sophia to try it next year... we'll see.

This picture was taken with my phone and I really wish I had my big camera. This is the first time my Dad has reminded me of my Grandpa. My Grandpa was shorter but he had the same saggy in the butt jeans and shoulders. This picture truly touches my heart. It also makes me realize my Dad is getting older.
